Phillies' Star Prospect Finished Season Strong
USA TODAY Sports

There's a lot of celebration within the Philadelphia Phillies' organization right now.

After clinching their second consecutive postseason appearance on the walk-off hit of their rookie Johan Rojas, they can sit back and start resting guys.

That moment from Rojas was a testament to the increased focus that the front office has put on developing players in their pipeline.

So, there should be more celebrations within the organization considering one of their top prospects, and first round pick from the 2023 Draft, finished his debut professional season strong.

Philadelphia drafted third baseman Aidan Miller out of high school with the 27th overall pick, putting big expectations on his shoulders.

Melissa Lockard of The Athletic writes, "Miller won’t have a homer in his official regular-season pro debut stat line, but he did go deep in the Florida State League playoffs. He was red-hot in those six games, hitting .348 with a .925 OPS. That’s a good thing to keep in mind when looking at his .216 BA in the 10 regular-season games that he played in the FSL that had some people in Phillies country worried about their top pick. Miller was one of the older high school players in the draft at 19, but he was still facing mostly older competition in Low A."

He's ranked as the Phillies' No. 4 overall prospect and has massive potential.

Miller performing his best at the clutch time of year is a huge bright spot during his debut season, regardless of his early struggles.

There's going to be a lot of learning for the 19-year-old as he navigates his way up the pipeline. He's predicted to make his debut at some point in 2027.

But there's no doubt that he is a big time prospect to keep an eye on throughout his development at the minor league level.
